KONTAGENT ANALYTICS NOW HANDLING OVER 100 MILLION USERS PER MONTH

Secures Majority of Top 10 Game Publishers as Players Transition to Social Gaming
San Francisco, California, Febuary 10th, 2011 – Kontagent, a Facebook-funded San Francisco-based social analytics company, announced today it is tracking over 100 million monthly active users and over 15 Billion messages per month and rapidly gaining momentum with v2.0 of its Kontagent Social Event Tracking Platform.

The company has grown its monthly active user base by over 300% in the past 12 months and now counts the majority of the world’s largest publicly traded game publishers as customers. Some of these customers include EA, Sony, Ubisoft, Take2, THQ, Konami, Perfect World, and Tencent as well as some of the top independent game studios in the space including Digital Chocolate, PopCap Games, Gaia, OMGPop, Funzio and many others, most of which signed onto its platform in the past 90 days since the launch of its v2.0 platform.

“Kontagent is now tracking as many monthly active users as three of the top four game developers – combined – at this important milestone” says Albert Lai, Co-founder and President of Kontagent.  He also believes 2011 marks a turning point in the social gaming industry “We are excited to be working with many of the world’s largest game publishers, as nearly every global mainstream publisher is looking at social gaming as a serious growth opportunity.”

Mike Sego, CEO of Gaia Online, believes Kontagent represents a critical piece of technology for anyone that is serious about going into the social gaming world.  “With our move to the social web, we needed a new way of optimizing and measuring our efforts. Kontagent continues to evolve with the market, and was built from the ground up for the new social web, which allowed us to exploit new opportunities quicker than our competitors. We grew our user base from zero to 5M, and Kontagent was a key factor in providing the user insights needed in order for us to scale our user base.”  Gaia recently launched Monster Galaxy, one of the fastest growing games on Facebook today.

“We chose Kontagent after evaluating a number of different options because of their enterprise-grade analytics platform that was built for social application developers.” said Joe Morris, VP of Mobile and Online at Konami Digital Entertainment.  “Frankly, we checked around quite a bit and Kontagent was coming up everywhere as the world-class leader in enterprise-grade social analytics.”

Kontagent’s unique social-centric analytics architecture allows its customers to gain unique insights on how to acquire, retain and monetize users more quickly and profitably.  Built from the ground up for social applications, Kontagent was designed to handle massive “social-scale” data volumes associated with successful social applications with tens of millions of users.
